pnpm 11 stops the install with ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS when a dependency wants to run a build script the repo has not spoken about — here @swc/core and esbuild. It is not a warning; install exits non-zero and the build never starts. Both are declared false, which is the same answer the docs monorepo gives for esbuild. Their platform binaries arrive as optional dependencies, so the postinstall is a fallback path rather than the thing that produces the binary, and vite builds without it.
