## What is Analytics?

Analytics is a simple, fast, privacy-focused, open-source analytics solution. Analytics is a better alternative to [Google Analytics](https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/)
because it gives you total control of your data and does not violate the privacy of your users.

## Installation

Check out the [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart) section to get up and running in minutes!

There are several different ways to install Analytics.

- **Installing from source**: Get the code from [GitHub](https://github.com/hanzoai/analytics) and build the application yourself. See [Install](/docs/install).
- **Using Docker compose**: Build your own Docker container using `docker compose`. See [Install](/docs/install).
- **Using a Docker image**: Download a pre-built Docker image. See [Install](/docs/install).

## Frequently asked questions

**1. Is Analytics GDPR compliant?**

Yes, Analytics does not collect any personally identifiable information and anonymizes all data collected. Users cannot be identified
and are never tracked across websites.

**2. Do I need to display a cookie notice to users?**

No, Analytics does not use any cookies in the tracking code.

**3. Does Analytics work on a single page application (SPA)?**

Yes, Analytics works seamlessly between SPAs and normal websites.

**4. Can Analytics record events such as button clicks?**
