Files
zeekay acaeda400a Eradicate OpenClaw — resolve merge conflicts and finish the rebrand
Three coordinated things:

1. Resolve the committed upstream/main merge conflicts. 94 files were
   sitting with raw <<<<<<< HEAD ... >>>>>>> upstream/main blocks. Every
   conflict had HanzoBot/Bot on HEAD and OpenClaw on upstream. Resolved
   by keeping HEAD everywhere — 540 conflict blocks.

2. Rewrite remaining OpenClaw text refs.
     OPENCLAW   → HANZO_BOT
     OpenClaw → HanzoBot (PascalCase type identifiers)
     openclaw → bot (codebase convention — botToken,
                                    botUsername etc.; avoids invalid
                                    hyphenated JS identifiers)
     openclaw[_]/openclaw[A-Z] → bot[_]/bot[A-Z]   (compound)
     ai.openclaw.x → ai.hanzo.bot.x  (JVM package path)

3. Delete or rename openclaw-named file paths (116 of them). Dead
   duplicates with a Bot-named canonical from the partial migration:
   deleted. Otherwise renamed.
     ai/openclaw/**           → deleted (ai/hanzo/bot/** canonical)
     Sources/OpenClaw*/       → deleted (Sources/Bot* canonical)
     Tests/OpenClawIPCTests/  → deleted (Tests/BotIPCTests canonical)
     OpenClawKit/             → deleted (BotKit canonical)
     openclaw-tools.*.ts      → deleted (bot-tools.*.ts canonical)
     openclaw-root.ts etc.    → deleted (bot-root.ts canonical)
     types.openclaw.ts        → deleted (types.bot.ts canonical)
     extensions/*/openclaw.plugin.json → renamed hanzo-bot.plugin.json
     docs/start/openclaw.md   → renamed hanzo-bot.md (+ zh-CN)
     docs/assets/openclaw-*.png, whatsapp-openclaw*.jpg → deleted
     scripts/.../openclaw-*   → deleted (bot/hanzo-bot parallels)
     openclaw.mjs             → deleted (hanzo-bot.mjs is package.bin)

Then patched 65 broken JS/TS import strings where hanzo-bot had ended
up inside an import path ('./types.hanzo-bot.js' → './types.bot.js'
etc., since the on-disk filename uses the brand-neutral bot- prefix).

Pre-existing lint debt cleaned up to get oxlint --type-aware to 0/0:
removed the dead i18n test that referenced a path no longer existing;
defined the missing DIDConfig and WalletConfig types in types.base.ts
(they were imported but never declared); dropped unused imports;
collapsed redundant type assertion and a tautological meta.bot lookup
that the openclaw→bot rename made redundant.

The a2ui.bundle.js generated artifact is kept at its pre-rebrand
contents — it gets regenerated by 'pnpm canvas:a2ui:bundle' from
sources I cannot rebuild in this commit; the source side is clean.

Verified: 0 occurrences of openclaw (case-insensitive) in tree source
content, 0 file or directory paths with openclaw in the name; oxlint
--type-aware src test reports 0/0.

Windows (WSL2) support + companion app status
Installing HanzoBot on Windows
Looking for Windows companion app status
Windows (WSL2)

Windows (WSL2)

HanzoBot on Windows is recommended via WSL2 (Ubuntu recommended). The CLI + Gateway run inside Linux, which keeps the runtime consistent and makes tooling far more compatible (Node/Bun/pnpm, Linux binaries, skills). Native Windows might be trickier. WSL2 gives you the full Linux experience — one command to install: wsl --install.

Native Windows companion apps are planned.

Install (WSL2)

Gateway

Gateway service install (CLI)

Inside WSL2:

hanzo-bot onboard --install-daemon

Or:

hanzo-bot gateway install

Or:

hanzo-bot configure

Select Gateway service when prompted.

Repair/migrate:

hanzo-bot doctor

Gateway auto-start before Windows login

For headless setups, ensure the full boot chain runs even when no one logs into Windows.

1) Keep user services running without login

Inside WSL:

sudo loginctl enable-linger "$(whoami)"

2) Install the HanzoBot gateway user service

Inside WSL:

hanzo-bot gateway install

3) Start WSL automatically at Windows boot

In PowerShell as Administrator:

schtasks /create /tn "WSL Boot" /tr "wsl.exe -d Ubuntu --exec /bin/true" /sc onstart /ru SYSTEM

Replace Ubuntu with your distro name from:

wsl --list --verbose

Verify startup chain

After a reboot (before Windows sign-in), check from WSL:

systemctl --user is-enabled hanzo-bot-gateway
systemctl --user status hanzo-bot-gateway --no-pager

Advanced: expose WSL services over LAN (portproxy)

WSL has its own virtual network. If another machine needs to reach a service running inside WSL (SSH, a local TTS server, or the Gateway), you must forward a Windows port to the current WSL IP. The WSL IP changes after restarts, so you may need to refresh the forwarding rule.

Example (PowerShell as Administrator):

$Distro = "Ubuntu-24.04"
$ListenPort = 2222
$TargetPort = 22

$WslIp = (wsl -d $Distro -- hostname -I).Trim().Split(" ")[0]
if (-not $WslIp) { throw "WSL IP not found." }

netsh interface portproxy add v4tov4 listenaddress=0.0.0.0 listenport=$ListenPort `
  connectaddress=$WslIp connectport=$TargetPort

Allow the port through Windows Firewall (one-time):

New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "WSL SSH $ListenPort" -Direction Inbound `
  -Protocol TCP -LocalPort $ListenPort -Action Allow

Refresh the portproxy after WSL restarts:

netsh interface portproxy delete v4tov4 listenport=$ListenPort listenaddress=0.0.0.0 | Out-Null
netsh interface portproxy add v4tov4 listenport=$ListenPort listenaddress=0.0.0.0 `
  connectaddress=$WslIp connectport=$TargetPort | Out-Null

Notes:

  • SSH from another machine targets the Windows host IP (example: ssh user@windows-host -p 2222).
  • Remote nodes must point at a reachable Gateway URL (not 127.0.0.1); use hanzo-bot status --all to confirm.
  • Use listenaddress=0.0.0.0 for LAN access; 127.0.0.1 keeps it local only.
  • If you want this automatic, register a Scheduled Task to run the refresh step at login.

Step-by-step WSL2 install

1) Install WSL2 + Ubuntu

Open PowerShell (Admin):

wsl --install
# Or pick a distro explicitly:
wsl --list --online
wsl --install -d Ubuntu-24.04

Reboot if Windows asks.

2) Enable systemd (required for gateway install)

In your WSL terminal:

sudo tee /etc/wsl.conf >/dev/null <<'EOF'
[boot]
systemd=true
EOF

Then from PowerShell:

wsl --shutdown

Re-open Ubuntu, then verify:

systemctl --user status

3) Install HanzoBot (inside WSL)

Follow the Linux Getting Started flow inside WSL:

git clone https://github.com/hanzo-bot/hanzo-bot.git
cd hanzo-bot
pnpm install
pnpm ui:build # auto-installs UI deps on first run
pnpm build
hanzo-bot onboard
