The conversation/message index client read MEILI_HOST and MEILI_MASTER_KEY. The backend is hanzoai/index (per-tenant, on the PaaS), and the envs are ours: INDEX_URL, INDEX_KEY — renamed across every read (api, data-schemas sqlite + mongo plugins, routes, backfill) with zero stragglers by sweep. The backfill script is config/backfill-index.js now. The deployment CR moves to the same names in the same release; a CR-only or app-only change would break search. api/db/indexSync.spec.js fails 9/9 identically on the CLEAN tree (createModels resolution in the jest harness) — pre-existing, not this.
