Two corrections on top of the naming pass, both found by checking the live cluster rather than the source. The rename had silently changed the user-facing annotation key from argocd.argoproj.io/sync-wave to cd.argoproj.io/sync-wave — 63 live Applications carry the old key, so deploying that would have ignored every sync-wave and broken fleet deploy ordering. The key is now cd.hanzo.ai/*, and universe 575650286 moves the ApplicationSet template that stamps it, so the controller regenerates all 63 consistently. The API group in code said argoproj.io/v1alpha1 in 157 places while the cluster has served apps.hanzo.ai/v1alpha1 since 2026-07-23 (the CRDs are applications.apps.hanzo.ai). Code now matches what is actually served. The legacy applications.argoproj.io/app-name label had ZERO live users, so it went with the rest. foo.argoproj.io test fixtures became foo.example.com — arbitrary test domains should not carry a vendor name. go build ./... exit 0. cd admin cluster generate-spec Command Reference
cd admin cluster generate-spec
Generate declarative config for a cluster
cd admin cluster generate-spec CONTEXT [flags]
Options
--annotation stringArray Set metadata annotations (e.g. --annotation key=value)
--aws-cluster-name string AWS Cluster name if set then aws cli eks token command will be used to access cluster
--aws-profile string Optional AWS profile. If set then AWS IAM Authenticator uses this profile to perform cluster operations instead of the default AWS credential provider chain.
--aws-role-arn string Optional AWS role arn. If set then AWS IAM Authenticator assumes a role to perform cluster operations instead of the default AWS credential provider chain.
--bearer-token string Authentication token that should be used to access K8S API server
--cluster-endpoint string Cluster endpoint to use. Can be one of the following: 'kubeconfig', 'kube-public', or 'internal'.
--cluster-resources Indicates if cluster level resources should be managed. The setting is used only if list of managed namespaces is not empty.
--disable-compression Bypasses automatic GZip compression requests to the server
--exec-command string Command to run to provide client credentials to the cluster. You may need to build a custom Hanzo CD image to ensure the command is available at runtime.
--exec-command-api-version string Preferred input version of the ExecInfo for the --exec-command executable
--exec-command-args stringArray Arguments to supply to the --exec-command executable
--exec-command-env stringToString Environment vars to set when running the --exec-command executable (default [])
--exec-command-install-hint string Text shown to the user when the --exec-command executable doesn't seem to be present
--generate-bearer-token Generate authentication token that should be used to access K8S API server
-h, --help help for generate-spec
--in-cluster Indicates Hanzo CD resides inside this cluster and should connect using the internal k8s hostname (kubernetes.default.svc)
--kubeconfig string use a particular kubeconfig file
--label stringArray Set metadata labels (e.g. --label key=value)
--name string Overwrite the cluster name
--namespace stringArray List of namespaces which are allowed to manage
-o, --output string Output format. One of: json|yaml (default "yaml")
--project string project of the cluster
--service-account string System namespace service account to use for kubernetes resource management. If not set then default "cd-manager" SA will be used (default "cd-manager")
--shard int Cluster shard number; inferred from hostname if not set (default -1)
--system-namespace string Use different system namespace (default "kube-system")
Options inherited from parent commands
--cd-context string The name of the Hanzo CD server context to use
--auth-token string Authentication token; set this or the CD_AUTH_TOKEN environment variable
--client-crt string Client certificate file
--client-crt-key string Client certificate key file
--config string Path to Hanzo CD config (default "/home/user/.config/cd/config")
--controller-name string Name of the Hanzo CD Application controller; set this or the CD_APPLICATION_CONTROLLER_NAME environment variable when the controller's name label differs from the default, for example when installing via the Helm chart (default "cd-application-controller")
--core If set to true then CLI talks directly to Kubernetes instead of talking to Hanzo CD API server
--grpc-web Enables gRPC-web protocol. Useful if Hanzo CD server is behind proxy which does not support HTTP2.
--grpc-web-root-path string Enables gRPC-web protocol. Useful if Hanzo CD server is behind proxy which does not support HTTP2. Set web root.
-H, --header strings Sets additional header to all requests made by Hanzo CD CLI. (Can be repeated multiple times to add multiple headers, also supports comma separated headers)
--http-retry-max int Maximum number of retries to establish http connection to Hanzo CD server
--insecure Skip server certificate and domain verification
--kube-context string Directs the command to the given kube-context
--logformat string Set the logging format. One of: json|text (default "json")
--loglevel string Set the logging level. One of: debug|info|warn|error (default "info")
--plaintext Disable TLS
--port-forward Connect to a random cd-server port using port forwarding
--port-forward-namespace string Namespace name which should be used for port forwarding
--prompts-enabled Force optional interactive prompts to be enabled or disabled, overriding local configuration. If not specified, the local configuration value will be used, which is false by default.
--redis-compress string Enable this if the application controller is configured with redis compression enabled. (possible values: gzip, none) (default "gzip")
--redis-haproxy-name string Name of the Redis HA Proxy; set this or the CD_KV_HAPROXY_NAME environment variable when the HA Proxy's name label differs from the default, for example when installing via the Helm chart (default "cd-redis-ha-haproxy")
--redis-name string Name of the Redis deployment; set this or the CD_KV_NAME environment variable when the Redis's name label differs from the default, for example when installing via the Helm chart (default "cd-redis")
