Keep the bottom-pane spinner alive across short mid-turn idle gaps, update TUI tests to match the current footer and approval-history behavior, and regenerate app-server protocol schemas for auto_context_check.

Persist session context_mode through core, MCP, and TUI flows, and teach auto-compaction to react to context pressure.
Refresh built-in agent/model defaults and documentation to use code-gpt-5.4 while keeping legacy aliases working.
