TestSchema hung for the full 60s test timeout, blocked in protobuf's filedesc.lazyInitOnce. The cause is structural rather than incidental: pb.proto imported badger's pb.proto and three messages carried its types -- Proposal held a repeated badgerpb4.KV, and the Subscribe stream carried badgerpb4.KVList. That made this package's file descriptor depend on badger's. zapdb serializes with ZAP, so it registers no protobuf descriptor for those types, and a dependency that never resolves is a lazyInit that never returns. All three messages are cluster machinery -- a Raft proposal and a subscription stream -- and the core references none of them, measured one by one across posting, dql, schema, tok, types, algo, codec, x and lex. They leave with the import, and pb.proto is regenerated through the Makefile's own recipe so the Sensitive patch still applies. The engine's wire is now its own. `go test` over schema, dql, types, tok, tok/hnsw, algo, codec and x: 9 packages, zero failures, schema in 0.069s. Co-authored-by: Hanzo Dev <[email protected]>
