typescript 7.0.2 is the native compiler and exports no JavaScript API, so ts-jest cannot read it. It comes in aliased as tsgo and does the typechecking; typescript moves to the 6 line for the tools that call into it. The old 4.5.5 pin did not understand the node16 module and moduleResolution the tsconfig already asked for, so both builds started with config errors: 2 diagnostics on the cjs project and 19 on the esm one. Now 0 on both, under either compiler. moduleResolution moved next to the module it has to match (node16 for cjs, bundler for the ESNext esm build), rootDir is explicit as TS6 requires for emit, and node and jest types are named instead of picked up by ambient scanning, which stopped finding them. Dual cjs/esm output and the jest suite are unchanged. Co-authored-by: Hanzo Dev <[email protected]>
