Five crates still carried the upstream name, so every import in the workspace read
as somebody else's product:
meilisearch -> search meilisearch-types -> search-types
meilisearch-auth -> search-auth meili-snap -> search-snap
meilitool -> searchtool
Directories, package names, dependency keys (including the ../relative path deps)
and every Rust path move together, plus the insta snapshots that capture those
paths as expected output — those would have failed at test time otherwise, since
the printed type path changes with the crate name.
THREE THINGS DELIBERATELY NOT RENAMED, because they are contract, not branding:
- Upstream URLs. github.com/meilisearch/... stays, including milli's bbqueue git
dependency: rewriting it points a real build at a repo that does not exist.
- The dump-format fixtures (import_dump_v2_from_meilisearch_v0_22_0 and friends).
Those names identify a wire format we must keep reading; renaming them would
claim we import our own dumps when what we import is Meilisearch's.
- The MIT attribution. This is a fork of MIT-licensed work and it says so.
Verified against a green baseline: cargo check --workspace passed before the
rename and passes after. Zero references to meilisearch_types / meilisearch_auth
/ meili_snap remain; the 6 dump fixtures and 49 upstream URLs are intact.
