zooqueen 6b8612eb74 two red gates, neither of them about the artifact
--check asks one question: is hanzo.yaml what its own pinned input projects to?
It answers that at the ref .spec-lock NAMES, so which remote is cloud's main
cannot change the answer — and it was resolving that remote anyway, before
anything read it, and dying there. Measured on main: it exited on `forge/main,
forgeinc/main, inc/main each carry openapi.yaml and have diverged` while the
artifact it was asked about was byte-for-byte correct. The branch is resolved
only where it is used now — `--current`, whose whole question is whether the tip
moved past the pin, and a re-pin with no `--ref` to say where.

The ambiguity itself is real and stays refused. Three remotes carry the document
and none contains the rest; guessing between them is how a projection gets
published from the wrong lineage.

test_flows.py named four operations the document does not have. The keys route
answers under the app that owns it, and the store plane moved again: this file
said /v1/instances/kv, and that address is now 404 with a 404 control, which is
this repo's own definition of refuted. /v1/provisioning/kv answers 403 with a
404 control — served. The notes carried the old probe as if it still held, so
they are re-measured rather than re-worded, and they now say what the bare
/v1/kv actually is: a separate bucket-keyed value plane whose root answers 200
to anyone, which is the one shape a round-trip must not be built on.

Every flow renders into every SDK's examples, so an id here that the document
lacks is a broken example in eight languages.

hanzo.yaml, CAPABILITIES.md and .spec-lock are untouched. The pin stays where it
is: at 22aedc87 the deployment fails to answer for 16 published operations, and
at cloud's main it is 351 — the pin is the newest release api.hanzo.ai answers
for, not the newest release.

python3 publish.py --check # THE GATE: re-derive at the pinned ref and diff
python3 publish.py --current # has cloud's document moved past the pin?
python3 publish.py --served # THE GATE with no checkout: does the deployment answer for every published operation?
THIS REPO DOES NOT DECIDE WHAT THE API IS. It never did well, and it no longer
claims to. hanzo-inc/cloud emits `openapi.yaml` by projecting its own routers, and
gates the emission by regenerating from source and failing on any diff — so it
cannot describe a route the binary does not serve, and cannot miss one it does.
That is the only description of this API with that property. Everything here is
DOWNSTREAM of it.
What went before: 52 hand-authored `<svc>/openapi.yaml` files were merged with
cloud's document, cloud winning on collision. Measured at [email protected], that
master carried 185 operations the document does not have, and the document
carried 425 the master did not — so the file every SDK generated from described
a router 18% smaller and 8% wrong. 95 of the 185 were addressed at nothing a
probe could find, 36 of those refuted outright (real address 404, nonsense
sibling 404). And an authored operation nothing serves is not a harmless
placeholder: `skills.py` turns it into a SKILL.md, which is a live instruction to
an agent to call a dead endpoint.
WHAT THIS FILE IS ALLOWED TO DO, and it is a short list. A projection may not
add an operation, may not remove one that is served, and may not invent prose.
It may only make the ONE document generatable — see `project()`, where every
rule carries the generator failure that demands it. The measurement that says
the projection is necessary at all: openapi-generator 7.14.0 refuses cloud's
document with **1012 errors**, one per operation the weave publishes with an
address and no `responses`. Every one of those rules is a candidate to move
UPSTREAM into cloud's emitter, and this file shrinks the day one does.
`.spec-lock` is the receipt — repo, path, ref, sha256 — in the same four keys
hanzoai/ci's client lane writes into every SDK repo. It is what lets anyone ask
`hanzo.yaml` "which release are you?" without running anything.

nothing went red. A gate that cannot fail is not a gate.
So the remote is DISCOVERED, never named: fetch every one, keep those whose
`main` holds the document, and take the one that contains all the others. A
checkout with a `forge` remote gets no special case — forge wins here

`--check` proves hanzo.yaml is the projection of a git ref. That is the

So it has never run, and while it did not, this file went 81 commits stale

This asks the weaker question that needs NOTHING — no checkout, no token, no

"""cloud's document -> the generatable one. SIX rules, each with its failure.
1. TRACE is dropped (26 ops). They are cloud's wildcard relays projecting
every method their router matches — a fact about the router, not a client
surface — and no SDK should hand a caller a method every edge disables
(Cross-Site Tracing). It is also the one method openapi-generator cannot
emit for the JVM: it writes `RequestMethod.TRACE` beside a `RequestMethod`
enum that stops at PUT, so no Java or Kotlin client compiles.
2. `compat`-tagged operations are dropped (23). The SERVING BINARY declares
that tag for a legacy address it keeps reachable for consumers pinned to
it. Dropping it here respects the declaration rather than overruling it —
the served surface is unchanged, and the published one says each thing
once instead of putting two spellings of one operation in every SDK.
3. Two tags become one (23 ops). A tag is a grouping hint to a reader and
the emitted CLASS to a generator, so a two-tag operation is emitted
TWICE under one identifier: `ApiPricingGetFullPricingRequest redeclared`
in Go, and quieter — worse — elsewhere. The first tag is the primary by
OpenAPI convention and what every doc site groups under.
4. No tag becomes the owning app (44 ops). Untagged is not ungrouped, it is
grouped somewhere nobody named: every generator files it under
`DefaultApi`. `x-app` is the emitter's own answer to who serves it, so it
is the tag; the `/v1/<product>` segment answers for the rest.
5. No `responses` gets a `default` (1012 ops). THE BIG ONE, and the whole
reason this projection exists: `openapi-generator validate` counts each
one an ERROR and refuses the document entire, so cloud's emission cannot
generate a client in ANY language as it stands. A `default` with no
content says exactly what is known — the route answers, its shape is not
declared at the source — which is what the weave already says by silence.
This is the rule to move upstream: the day cloud's emitter writes that
`default` itself, this rule and 90% of this function go.
6. operationIds are made unique under `genid` (1 collision today,
`deleteSession` vs `DeleteSession`). The later one by path order takes a
suffix, which is what a generator does for the duplicates it can see —
and it keeps the id cloud emitted as `x-id`, because an operationId is
ALSO the wire name of an MCP tool. The suffix exists for Go; the MCP
server does not know it. Whoever needs the name a caller can use reads `x-id`
first. The collision itself belongs upstream: two operations whose ids
differ only in case are one name to every generator on earth.
Nothing else. No operation is added, no served operation is removed, no
prose is written — every summary and description below came out of a handler
doc comment in hanzo-inc/cloud.
