Endpoint takes a path or unix:// and binds a Unix socket, so a process on the same host reaches the agent without a port. A host:port still binds TCP. The socket is created 0666 and a stale one is removed first; a path over ~100 bytes is refused with its length, because the kernel rejects it as "invalid argument". Shutdown closes the listener. It only closed the server, which does not own the listener Serve is blocked in Accept on, so wg.Wait never returned. The serve goroutine captures its server and listener rather than reading the fields Shutdown clears. Start/Shutdown/Start now runs clean 100 times. conf/default.yaml named clickhousetraces and dialed tcp://clickhouse:9000. The component registers datastoretraces and the service is datastore, so that pipeline could not have started.
