The build step never reached docker. imgver refused to derive a tag — "no version for ghcr.io/hanzoai/paas-demo" — because the repo declares an image and names no series anywhere the resolver looks. We don't ship shas, so that refusal is the whole step. paas-demo is one stdlib script the Dockerfile COPYs; nothing pip-installs it, so a pyproject would be a build system for a thing that isn't built. A bare VERSION is one of the four files imgver reads and is what the rest of the fleet's manifest-less repos carry (cd, kms, vfs, deploy, arc, ...). Nothing has ever been published under this name — no git tag, no release, no ghcr package — so the series starts at 0.1.0. It only ever starts here: imgver takes max(declared, published) and adds a patch, so the registry, not this file, decides every number after the first. Co-authored-by: Hanzo Dev <[email protected]>
