\section{Decision Framework}
\label{sec:decision}
%% ============================================================================
Use the Hanzo + Lux stack when:
\begin{itemize}
\item The application requires \textbf{3 or more} of: identity, AI inference, blockchain consensus, cryptographic operations, vector search.
\item \textbf{Post-quantum security} is a requirement (regulatory, defense, financial).
\item \textbf{Confidential computing} (FHE) is needed for privacy-preserving operations.
\item The organization prefers \textbf{self-hosted, open-source} infrastructure over vendor dependencies.
\item \textbf{Total cost of ownership} matters more than individual component optimization.
\end{itemize}
Use point solutions when:
\begin{itemize}
\item The application is a standard Web2 SaaS with no blockchain or AI requirements.
\item The team has fewer than 3 engineers and prefers managed services.
\item A single capability is needed (e.g., only vector search, only payments).
\item Vendor lock-in is acceptable in exchange for reduced initial setup time.
\end{itemize}
