cmd/builder/internal/builder did not build. A method had been turned into a
free function and neither its body nor its callers followed:
- parseModules still reads c.Distribution, so it needs the receiver back.
Eleven call sites already spell it `c.parseModules`, four of them in
main_test.go; two did not.
- ParseModules carried a duplicated block — c.Telemetry assigned twice from
the same slice, and ConfmapProviders parsed twice. The second parse is not
merely redundant: usedNames carries across calls, so every provider was
seen twice and the de-duplicating rename would have fired on names that
appear once.
go.sum was also short two entries (zap, x/sys) at versions go.mod already
pinned, and go.mod was missing go.yaml.in/yaml/v3.
The package compiles now and cmd/builder/internal passes. internal/builder
still has four failures — MarshalYAML wants nil sections omitted, and
Versioning/GenerateAndCompile/ReplaceStatementsAreComplete build a collector.
None of them could have run while the package did not compile; they are not
from this change and want the same upstream re-sync confmap does.
