The standalone sidecar binary is gone. ZAP is implemented natively inside each backend service (sql, kv, docdb, datastore) and exposed on TCP/9999 by the service itself — no separate sidecar container, no ghcr.io/hanzoai/zap image, no ZAPSidecar CRD field. Removed: - cmd/zap-sidecar/main.go (sidecar binary entrypoint) - internal/sql, internal/kv, internal/datastore, internal/documentdb (sidecar-only protocol bridges) - internal/mcp.go (sidecar MCP shim) - Dockerfile (produced ghcr.io/hanzoai/zap:*) Updated: - README.md — deprecation notice and migration history - LLM.md — repo status and pointer to embedded ZAP - Makefile — only `tidy` left - go.mod — slimmed (sidecar pulled pgx/kv/clickhouse/mongo) The Rust ZAP library under rust/ is unaffected and still embedded into Rust services (e.g. hanzoai/base).
