The 614k tx/s / 3.9 Ggas/s "parity-verified Block-STM" figure I quoted in the prior revision does not exist in any committed harness (grep/git-log across lux + luxcpp find nothing; "parity-verified" is a 133-vector byte-equality correctness corpus, not a throughput number, and the pair is internally inconsistent — 614k tx/s at 21k gas is 12.9 Ggas/s, not 3.9). Replace with verified numbers: sequential EVM ~305k tx/s contract-heavy (today's battery), and the C++ cevm CPU state layer 22,756 Mgas/s / ~1.08M tx/s transfer-only (luxcpp/cevm/BENCHMARKS.md:709). Also correct the parallelism section: the Go Block-STM executor is currently slower than serial (overhead-bound, gated), GPU is below CPU on every real harness, and the cevm accelerator handles only pure transfers, declines contract blocks under strict mode, and has no parity gate or production wiring. Thesis (cadence-bound, not execution-bound) is unchanged and now rests only on defensible figures. Co-authored-by: Hanzo Dev <[email protected]>
