A July commit removed eight papers on the premise "no license — DEX/non-custodial
only". That premise is wrong: Lux operates an ATS, a broker-dealer, a transfer
agent and a bank, and this material is resold at lux.financial. The merge that
brought main in preserved the removal because the commit stated a reason, which
is how a stale reason outlives the fact it rested on.

Back, at the versions main carried — main never received the removal, so its
copies are the later ones: the ATS architecture, the security-token standard,
smart order routing, institutional custody, MPC custody, post-quantum securities,
the SSB partnership and the CoinBridge brief. 83 files.

\section{Integration Layer}
\label{sec:integration}
\subsection{Alpaca OmniSub}
For traditional equities and hybrid securities, the ATS integrates with Alpaca via OmniSub for brokerage services:
\begin{itemize}[nosep]
\item Account creation and management via Alpaca Broker API
\item Order routing for listed equities (NYSE, NASDAQ)
\item Position synchronization between on-chain and off-chain holdings
\item Fractional share support for tokenized equity wrappers
\end{itemize}
\subsection{Partner KYC/AML}
Investor identity verification uses Partner for:
\begin{itemize}[nosep]
\item Document verification (government-issued ID, proof of address)
\item Biometric authentication (liveness detection, face matching)
\item AML screening (OFAC, PEP, adverse media)
\item Accredited investor verification (income, net worth, professional certifications)
\item Ongoing monitoring (transaction monitoring, periodic re-verification)
\end{itemize}
KYC status is stored in the \texttt{kyc\_checks} collection and linked to the investor's I-Chain DID, enabling portable identity across the Lux ecosystem \cite{lux-transfer-agent}.
\subsection{I-Chain Identity}
Investor identity on the Lux ATS is anchored to the I-Chain decentralized identity system. Each investor has a DID (Decentralized Identifier) that links their KYC/AML verification status, accreditation credentials, and jurisdictional permissions. Transfer restriction checks reference the investor's DID claims rather than centralized database records, enabling:
\begin{itemize}[nosep]
\item Portable identity across multiple securities platforms on Lux
\item Zero-knowledge proofs of accreditation without revealing underlying documents
\item Revocable credentials for expired accreditations or regulatory sanctions
\end{itemize}
