zeekay 1ecc25e9cf papers: consolidate Photon/Wave/Nova/Nebula/Ray/Field protocol stubs into lux-consensus-engines
The seven engine specifications (lux-{photon,wave,nova,nebula,prism,ray,field}-protocol)
were fragmented short notes documenting layers of the same Quasar consensus stack.
This commit merges them into a single canonical reference, lux-consensus-engines.tex,
that uses one preamble, one set of theorems, one bibliography, and one composition
chapter showing how the engines layer into the LP-020 finality pipeline.

The seven originals are reduced to single-page breadcrumb stubs pointing at the
consolidated paper; their sections/ content is preserved on disk for git history.

- new: lux-consensus-engines/ (50 pages, 646KB PDF, ~2900 lines tex)
- breadcrumbs: each original keeps cover + title + stub paragraph naming its chapter
- composition: chapter 9 records the layered contract Photon < Wave < Nova < ...
- bibliography: consolidated from the seven original thebibliography blocks

\section{Empirical Evaluation}
\label{sec:nebula-evaluation}
\subsection{Sparse Network Scenarios}
\begin{table}[h]
\centering
\begin{tabular}{@{}lrrrr@{}}
\toprule
\textbf{Scenario} & \textbf{Nodes} & \textbf{Connectivity} & \textbf{Convergence} & \textbf{Standard Protocol} \\
\midrule
Full mesh & 500 & 100\% & 350ms & 350ms \\
50\% packet loss & 500 & 50\% & 850ms & No convergence \\
30\% churn & 200 & 70\% & 1,200ms & No convergence \\
Partition (2 min) & 500 & 0\% (heals) & 2,000ms & No convergence \\
Appchain (small) & 25 & 100\% & 200ms & 200ms \\
\bottomrule
\end{tabular}
\caption{Nebula performance under various network conditions}
\label{tab:nebula-nebula-results}
\end{table}
Nebula achieved convergence in all scenarios where the network was eventually connected,
while the standard (non-stratified) protocol failed to converge under 50\% packet loss
and 30\% churn. The 2-minute partition scenario demonstrated successful reconciliation
within 2 seconds of partition healing.
