Continuation of the 87a0cee sweep — covers the two remaining FHE
papers that still cited Zama and/or Fhenix as comparators.
threshold-fhe-compliance/09-related-work.tex + 99-conclusion.tex:
drops the "Fhenix and Zama implement FHE on EVM chains but use a
single decryption key" comparison; rewrites positively around the
Lux M-of-N Shamir-over-Zq threshold decryption in
lux/fhe/pkg/threshold/. Bibliography drops fhenix2024 + zama2024;
adds lux-fhe-smart-contracts + lux-fhe-runtime cross-cites.
lux-fhe-smart-contracts/09-related-work.tex + 99-conclusion.tex:
full rewrite of the related-work section — drops the Zama fhEVM /
Inco Network / TFHE-rs comparison paragraphs in favor of a "FHE on
the EVM" + "Threshold decryption" + "FHE compilers" structure that
names only the Lux components (lux/precompile/fhe, lux/fhe,
luxcpp/gpu, lux-private/gpu-kernels, planned Refractor compiler).
Bibliography: drops zama2023fhevm + inco2024; replaces with
lux-fhe-go + lux-precompile-fhe.
Lux FHEVM (capital F) remains as the canonical Lux product name —
distinct from Zama's lowercase fhEVM brand. \label{sec:fhevm} and
existing bibkey lux-fhevm are LaTeX/citation infrastructure and are
unaffected.
Pairs with the parallel liquidity/papers + zoo/papers sweeps.

\textbf{FHE on the EVM.} Prior FHE-on-EVM approaches rely on Rust FFI
into external TFHE libraries or run FHE off-chain in a coprocessor with
the EVM holding only ciphertext handles. Our approach is native: the
\texttt{lux/precompile/fhe} package implements FHE at the precompile
layer (addresses \texttt{0x...80}--\texttt{0x...83}, see
\texttt{IFHE.sol}) backed by the \texttt{lux/fhe} Go TFHE library on
\texttt{luxfi/lattice}. No cross-language FFI on the consensus path; the
GPU acceleration story routes through the \texttt{luxcpp/gpu}
dispatcher with backend plugins (Metal/CUDA/WebGPU) sourced from
\texttt{lux-private/gpu-kernels/}. The result is consensus-deterministic
keygen across every validator, deterministic per-op gas, and an audit
surface bounded by one Go module rather than a multi-language toolchain.
\textbf{Threshold decryption.} Boneh et al.~\cite{boneh2018threshold}
formalized threshold FHE for general circuits. Our LSSS implementation
in \texttt{lux/fhe/pkg/threshold/} adapts the M-of-N Shamir-over-$\mathbb{Z}_q$
construction to the blockchain validator-set rotation model, with
noise-flooded partial decryption + Lagrange combine.
\textbf{FHE compilers.} High-level circuit synthesis from a host
language is the next milestone (Refractor, see
\texttt{lux/refractor}; design pending). Today, developers compose
gates programmatically through the \texttt{lux/fhe} integer-radix layer
(\texttt{integers.go}, \texttt{integer\_ops.go}) or call the precompile
ABI directly from Solidity.
