\section{Governance and Upgradability}
\label{sec:governance}
\subsection{Governance Structure}
LLS is governed by a multi-sig DAO with the following powers:
\begin{itemize}
\item Adding/removing validators from the active set
\item Adjusting fee splits (within bounds: total fee $\leq 15\%$)
\item Setting the delegation cap and insurance target ratio
\item Emergency pause in case of critical vulnerability
\end{itemize}
All governance actions are subject to a 48-hour timelock, allowing users to exit before changes take effect.
\subsection{Upgrade Path}
Contracts are upgradeable via a transparent proxy pattern with timelock. Major upgrades (changing core logic) require:
\begin{enumerate}
\item DAO proposal with 7-day voting period
\item Supermajority (66\%) approval
\item 48-hour timelock after approval
\item External audit for changes exceeding 500 LOC
\end{enumerate}
