\section{Conclusion}

Ray introduces adaptive finality to the metastable consensus family, reducing latency
by up to 64\% in benign conditions while maintaining $2^{-128}$ safety guarantees under
worst-case adversarial conditions. The confidence velocity metric and Bayesian adversary
estimator provide a principled framework for real-time parameter adaptation. Ray
achieves the light-speed confirmation bound of $3$ rounds under zero Byzantine faults,
approaching the physical limit of consensus latency determined by network propagation delay.
