chain/store.go gains ErrNotOnTip, so Accept re-checks that the block still extends the accepted tip under the same lock that commits it, and Seed records the tip it wrote. Open already refuses to read any error as a fresh chain; a Seed that left no tip was the remaining way to look fresh after writing. Carries the zkvm, identityvm and graphvm work the fixes were built on.
