SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks and Stripe were listed at 1.75
Trillion, 852 Billion, 1.2 Trillion, 134 Billion and 159 Billion. Those
are the same five figures, in the same order, as the asset-class grid
higher up the same page, where they label hedge funds, venture capital,
private credit, real estate and infrastructure. One array was copied and
relabelled. They are not what any of these companies is worth, and both
readings cannot be true at once.

The names stay; the numbers go. A private valuation with no date and no
round behind it would not be a fact even if the figure were plausible.

The page also carried a blockquote — that private equity "has historically
generated higher long-term net returns, often outpacing the S&P 500 over
10- and 20-year periods" — on a page selling exposure to private equity.
Attribution to a third party does not make it not a performance claim.

NVIDIA's market capitalisation now carries the month it was true.
