Use a while loop: keep wrapping in identity() until the resulting tree hash is unique among all previously-seen projection hashes. This handles: - 3+ ALIAS columns expanding to the same expression (each gets an additional layer of identity() nesting) - A projection that already contains identity(expr) alongside ALIAS columns expanding to the same expr Co-authored-by: Yakov Olkhovskiy <[email protected]>
