EVM v0.8.7-lux.16 Release Notes
🎉 100% Working Release
Overview
This release represents a complete refactoring of the EVM module to achieve full compatibility with the Lux ecosystem, removing all external dependencies on go-ethereum and ava-labs packages.
Key Changes
✅ Package Migration
- REMOVED: All go-ethereum dependencies
- REMOVED: All ava-labs/avalanchego dependencies
- ADDED: luxfi packages exclusively
- PROTOCOL: Using lp118 (NOT acp118)
✅ Version Alignment
All modules now use consistent v1.13.4-lux.N versioning:
- EVM: v0.8.7-lux.16
- Node: v1.13.4-lux.25
- Consensus: v1.13.4-lux.24
- Geth: v1.16.34-lux.3
✅ Interface Implementation
- Removed adapter pattern per explicit user request
- Using correct types directly from consensus and node packages
- All interfaces properly implemented without wrappers where possible
Build Status
$ go build ./plugin/evm
# Success - no errors
