Leadership and team cards, board and founding prose, an AI persona modelled on a named individual, contributor and partner entries, and personal correspondence addresses all named one person. The organisation carries them now. Other people keep their names. Where a card, a board list or a founding line named someone else alongside, they stay exactly as they were; only the one entry was removed, and prose that listed two names now reads with one. Sample and fixture data uses the placeholder name these tests already use elsewhere, so the IAM username defect the notes describe still reads as written. The zoo/yapp MIT notice names the foundation that publishes it. Co-authored-by: Hanzo Dev <[email protected]>

Zoo Labs Foundation — Team
Mission: An open AI protocol for research aligned with environment-saving, endangered AI, and the intersection of AI, blockchain, metaverse, and gaming.
Organization: Zoo Labs Foundation Inc. — 501(c)(3) non-profit.
GitHub org: zooai (canonical). Twitter: @zoo_labs. Site: zoo.ngo.
Founder
Antje Worring — Founder, Zoo Labs Foundation
- Author of the original Zoo whitepaper, October 31, 2021
(see
~/work/zoo/papers/zoo-2021-original-whitepaper). - Coined the term "NFT Liquidity Protocol" in the January 2022 deck — the lineage that today underwrites the broader Liquidity Protocol family of on-chain securities settlement primitives.
- Sets the founding vision: a Game-Fi multiverse for endangered species, emotionally-intelligent NFT animals, and a DAO that routes economic value to wildlife preservation.

[email protected].
Core Team
Grace Hopper — Chief Scientist / Engineering lead
- Co-author on the foundation mission paper and on the Zoo per-LLM chains paper.
- Drives Zen model family development, per-LLM chain consensus integration with Lux Quasar 3.0, and the Hanzo / Lux / Zoo cross-stack.
- Contact:
[email protected].
Research staff — [email protected]
- Authors and maintainers of the Zoo paper series (80+ titles, see
papers/INDEX.md) and the Zoo Improvement Proposal (ZIP) corpus (130+ ZIPs, seeINDEX.md). - Operate Zen LM training, Zoo Gym training platform, and the Experience Ledger / Decentralized Semantic Optimization (DSO) program.
Engineering — ~/work/zoo/node, ~/work/zoo/app, ~/work/zoo/zoo
- Zoo Node (Rust): app-layer shim over Hanzo Network compute and Lux Quasar
consensus. See
zoo/CLAUDE.mdfor the layered architecture. - Zoo Desktop (Tauri + React): mining client for
$AI, wallet integration, local LLM inference via Ollama. - Zoo App / SDK / Contracts: Next.js front-end, TypeScript SDK, Solidity contracts (ZRC-20/721/1155, governance, vaults).
Allied Organizations
Zoo Labs Foundation operates inside a deliberately layered ecosystem.
- Lux Network (
~/work/lux) — provides the regulated chain infrastructure and the Quasar 3.0 post-quantum consensus engine. See Lux LP-020 (Quasar 3.0), LP-013 (F-Chain FHE), LP-019 (M-Chain MPC), LP-070 (ML-DSA), LP-073 (Corona), LP-075 (BLS), LP-105 (Quasar 3.0 paper), LP-134 (A/B/M/F chain topology). - Hanzo AI Inc. (Techstars '17,
~/work/hanzo) — operates the Hanzo AI Chain inference and commerce marketplace, the per-call attestation ledger (A-Chain), and the Zen LM frontier-model co-development program. - A regulated securities partner — Zoo's exclusive partner for retail-scale digital securities trading. Brings the regulated ATS / broker-dealer / transfer-agent stack that lets Zoo Labs Foundation ship Robinhood-style capabilities without operating the regulated perimeter itself.
Advisors and Contributors
The foundation maintains a rolling advisory roster across:
- Conservation science — partners aligned with WWF, IUCN, ZSL, Panthera (legacy partnerships traced back to the 2021–2022 deck era).
- AI research — collaborators on Hamiltonian LLMs, Z-JEPA, BitDelta,
and the Zen model family. See
papers/INDEX.mdAI Research section. - DeSci / open-research — co-authors on the DeSci Protocol Framework (ZIP-0600), peer-review (ZIP-0604), and reproducibility attestation (ZIP-0606).
- Governance — community delegates and sub-DAO leads under the
Holographic Consensus DAO model (see
zoo-2025-securities-and-daopaper, §4, andzip-0017DAO Governance Framework).
The advisor roster is governed by the meta-DAO and updated through the
contribution-graph attestation pipeline (A-Chain per Lux LP-134).
How to Join
- Contributors — submit pull requests to any
~/work/zoo/*repo. Significant contributions earn weighted DAO voting power (see weighted-voting formula inzoo-2025-securities-and-daopaper, §4). - Researchers — propose papers or ZIPs through the standard ZIP
process at
zips.zoo.ngo. Accepted ZIPs are committed on-chain. - Validators / operators — register on Lux Cloud (Lux LP-136), stake-lock, and pass A-Chain attestation handshake.
- Conservation partners — contact the foundation at
[email protected]. - Securities issuers — onboard via a regulated securities partner (Zoo's exclusive partner for the regulated trading stack).
